Unity Through Disaster

It has been almost a month since a round of tornadoes decimated the southern United States. Our early response effort has led us to several places of ministry in Alabama. Being the Church after Disaster Strikes

Overwhelming Love For almost two weeks we’ve been helping an elderly couple named Gene and Judy dig out of the destruction left by the April 27th tornado. Johnny

This morning we checked in with the group serving in Rainsville. They’ve been going to help a man named Johnny all week. Johnny lived in a trailer next to his mother and disabled brother. When the tornado came through, it destroyed both trailers and his mother and brother died. He’s living in a toolshed on his property now. The people with True Adventure Sports and the Adventures in Missions team are pouring into him, praying for him, and trying to help in whatever way they can. They’ve had a lot of people over there work and his land is looking great now. But most of all,...

Disaster Response in Alabama

This week I had the opportunity to travel to Alabama and help set up Tornado Response Trips with AIM, which will begin this week. We spent the majority of our time in Rainsville, where we met Israel Partridge of True Adventure Sports (left), and his friends, Jonathan Roberts, (right), and Chris Patterson (center). All three men live in the area hit by the storm. Thankfully, their homes and families were saved.   These three men of God are committed to serving in their community and helping people process and heal from this disaster. Please pray for them, their teams, and for those...
